It was a largely-negative day for travel industry shares yesterday as London’s equity markets drifted backwards with the approach of the Christmas break. The benchmark FTSE 100 index fell back 0.2 per cent, dropping 7.2 points to close at 4359.8, while the FTSE 250 dropped 15.9 points to end the day at 5764.2.
