New Indonesian airline Super Air Jet launching
Indonesia is about to get a new airline. Super Air Jet has been unveiled and is waiting for regulatory approval to start operations. It will have a low cost business model and serve point-to-point domestic routes, said president director, Ari Azhari.
Ari was an executive at Lion Air, the country’s biggest airline group and although not formally confirmed, Lion Air Group is thought to be behind the establishment of the new airline.
It plans to operate Airbus-320 jets and will eventually expand to overseas destinations, Ari said.
