New Korean Air service from LAX to Brazil
Korean Air announced they were starting the only non-stop service from LAX to Sao Paulo, Brazil’s economic center, starting June 2.
“Korean Air’s non-stop flights between LAX and Say Paulo is a key route for people who want to conduct business in the world’s second largest city,” said John Eun Lee, regional vice president for the airlines. He added:
“Korean Air already offers the best options for travel to Asia, but we’re also a global airline that will now provide that much needed passenger and cargo service between Los Angeles and Sao Paulo that no other company has the scope to do.”
They will be the only airline flying nonstop from LAX, according to the company.
Korean is the largest transpacific carrier from LAX to Asia. Sao Paulo is the third destination being served. The two other cities are Tokyo and Seoul.
The Brazil flights will be offered three times a week.
Subject to government approval, the flights will operate Monday-Wednesday-Friday.
Korean Air is the largest cargo carrier in the world and carries more air cargo at LAX than any other passenger airline.
The airline is also the largest transpacific passengers carrier out of LA, and flies more cities in the Americas to more cities in China than any other airline in the world, according to Korean Air.
