New Legoland Florida hotel will be pirate-themed
Legoland’s planned third resort hotel will have a distinctive swashbuckling style.
The theme park operator unveiled details for Pirate Island Hotel, which is set to open in spring 2020.
It will feature 150 rooms with a pirate-themed restaurant, kids play area, pool and will have a pirate ship out front
"Due to the success of our existing accommodations, we realized a third hotel was needed to keep up with high consumer demand," said Kevin Carr, hotels director at Legoland Florida Resort.
Rooms will have a kids area with boat-shaped bunk beds, a separate TV and in-room Lego treasure chests.
Pirate Island Hotel follows the opening of the Legoland Beach Retreat in 2017.
With the launch of Pirate Island Hotel, the resort will offer a total of 468 on-site rooms.
