Becky Schmidt has been named by Lufthansa as manager leisure and specialist sales for the UK & Ireland.
She replaces Elizabeth Price who has taken early retirement from the airline.
Schmidt has been manager online and direct sales for seven years.
She said: “My aim is to ensure that the leisure market is made aware of both the highly competitive fares and the quality service Lufthansa offers – and not just to Germany.
“Lufthansa is the number one European carrier to India and also offers excellent onward connections to China as well as the emerging markets of Central and Eastern Europe.
