New low cost airline Avelo to launch this month
New California based airline startup Avelo is ready to take-off and reckons the time is right to launch, even in the midst of a global pandemic.
It will initially start flying in late April and May to 11 smaller cities across the western US. Avelo CEO Andrew Levey says it’s the perfect time to launch ahead of the summer season. It will fly to cities like Eugene, Oregon, Bozeman, Montana and Ogden, Utah from Hollywood Burbank Airport
Its small airport point to point strategy is similar to fellow startup Breeze Airways. Avelo launches with a fleet of three Boeing 737s and plans to add three more this summer.
