A new Mediterranean itinerary for summer 2009 and weddings in Barbados have been added by Island Cruises.

Med cruises lead-in at £579 per person while a range of early booking offers are available such as all-inclusive upgrades, children for £99, and up to 70% discounts on cabin upgrades for reservations made by July 31.

Four new ports of call in the Med have been introduced for next summer – Elba, Calvi, Cannes and Trapani in Sicily.

The new fly-cruise itinerary – Mediterranean Splendour – has five departure dates from Palma and is designed to appeal to repeat passengers with calls in Naples, Civitavecchia for Rome, Elba, Calvi and Mahon. Prices start at £649.

Mediterranean Splendour will also provide a greater range of 14-night possibilities, as passengers will be encouraged by the line to mix and match the back-to-back itineraries.

The itinerary will depart on May 2, June 13, July 11, August 22 and September 19.

Other itinerary chances include: Cannes replacing Toulon on Mediterranean Spirit cruises; Toulon replacing Marseille on Mediterranean Explorer and Trapani, Sicily replacing Palermo on Mediterranean Isles.

The Caribbean weddings programme covers three packages starting at £538 per couple for an on board ceremony, with land-based venues available at a supplement.

November 2009, and transatlantic and Caribbean 2010 cruises are available for pre-registration from today (April 17) and go on sale on July 31.

Sales director Leslie Peden said: “These are all developments which I am confident will be welcome news to our trade partners, coupled with the additional earning opportunity of 10% on all Caribbean wedding packages.”
