New movement in hotel toilets
The Westin Chicago River North is emulating those toilets with heated seats and automatic washing and drying systems making a splash in Japan.
The Chicago property is offering just one room billed as “the best seat in the house.” But more are promised later. The cost: $249 nightly.
The Brondell Swash 800 has a heated, germ-resistant seat and uses warm filtered water and a dryer to ensure hygiene. There’s even a remote control that takes into account the differing needs of men and women.
