New rail booking site dedicated to agents
International Rail is set to launch an updated booking site for global rail, www.railagent.co.uk, aimed at the travel trade.
It is due to go live on Monday (July 10) and is claimed to be the first and most comprehensive international rail booking site for the UK travel industry.
The site sells over 30 types of passes for travel in over 35 countries.
Features include a new point-to-point booking engine with access to over 66,000 routes in Europe and North America.
Agents will get 5% commission on all tickets and passes sold, including InterRail passes, Eurostar tickets or Amtrak point-to-point journeys.
The site is guaranteeing next day delivery to the agents offices or direct to the client, plus same day processing and shipping on orders received by 3pm
There will be no credit card charge or booking fee and agents with larger volumes can set-up a credit facility for monthly invoicing.
To celebrate the launch, during July agents will also receive a John Lewis £5 gift voucher for the first booking.
European director of marketing Omid Golshan said: “With the agent training available on the website we are keen for agents to become Rail Specialists and to learn about the range of products International Rail offer for rail travel throughout the world.”
