Family ski specialist Esprit Ski has added Les Gets the French Alps to its programme for winter 2006-07.

The operator is featuring a chalet with four newly converted apartments for between eight and 13 guests in family-friendly resort in the Poprtes du Soleil.

New accommodation has also been introduced in St Anton, Salva, Val d’Isere and Courchevel, all providing child care for skiing families.

The company’s first edition brochure offers a range of offers for bookings made by October 11 including loyalty bonuses, free child places and competitive prices. The programme covers 17 resorts with 67 chalets – 11 more than last winter – and four chalet hotels.

First edition prices in Les Gets start at £409 per adult, with the first child travelling free and the second half price. Rates for a family of four lead-in at £1,025 for seven nights.

The company runs nurseries for babies and toddlers aged four months to three years, half-day Snow Clubs for three to eight-year-olds and dedicated ski instruction for children. Baby sitting is free of charge and a baby listenimng serevice is also available.

Managing director Andy Perrin said: “Unlike some of our competitors, we’ve never mixed families with child-free clients becasue their needs are completely different. There’s no conflict of interest for families with loud groups of city slickers who would prefer a child-free enviornment and a big emphasis on apres-ski.”
