New role for former Amadeus VP
Former Amadeus vice president Ian Wheeler has been appointed to the Board of business-to-business airfare search software provider Vayant Travel Technologies.
Wheeler has been acting as an advisor to the business for the last two years.
Chief executive officer Eric Dumas said: "We are delighted to welcome Ian Wheeler to the Vayant board of directors.
"We believe that his extensive background in the industry combined with his considerable experience as a senior level executive make him a key addition to serve Vayant’s shareholders as a member of the Board. Ian joins Vayant at the perfect time as we focus on growing our global customer footprint and strategic product innovation."
Wheeler previously worked for Amadeus across a number of senior roles including group vice president of marketing and distribution, managing director e-Travel andcChairman of Traveltainment. He has also worked for Hertz, Reed Elsevier and Thomas Cook.
