Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts is set to open its latest luxury hotel in the Sri Lankan capital Colombo.
Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo opens on November 16, 2017 and joins Shangri-La’s Hambantota Golf Resort & Spa as the second property in Sri Lanka.
Located on the Galle Face Green promenade, most of the 500 guestrooms and suites and 41 serviced apartments enjoy Indian Ocean views and features five restaurants, bars and lounges, a swimming pool, fitness centre and spa.
There is extensive function space measuring 4,500 square metres comprising two ballrooms, an outdoor lawn and several function rooms able to accommodate more than 1,500 guests.

"We aim to set new luxury hospitality standards in Colombo."
The hotel begins taking bookings from September 1, 2017 for stays from December 1, 2017.
To mark the opening, Shangri-La has launched the Discover Colombo offer, which includes a choice of city tour, breakfast, dinner for two at the local specialty restaurant, and 20% off all food and beverages from US$245 per room per night.
Hong Kong-based Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts currently operates more than 95 hotels across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, France and the UK.
