New Swiss flights from Cardiff
Swiss airline Helvetic Airways will be launching a new route from Cardiff to Zurich in March.
The service will fly direct from Cardiff to Zurich four days a week, on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays.
The route will use the 100 -eat Fokker aircraft and it will be the first time during the airport’s history that it has operated a direct route to Zurich.
Patrick Duffy, managing director of Cardiff Airport, said:
“Research conducted by the airport demonstrated that Zurich is one of the most sought after business destinations from Wales, and therefore after months of hard work we’re delighted Helvetic Airways has decided to offer this route to south Wales travellers.
Helvetic Airways will offer flights from £99 one way, including all taxes and charges for a limited period.
Customers will be able to book flights to Zurich from Cardiff from 03 November 2010 in Swiss Francs, and in GBP from 15 November 2010.
