New travel site goes beyond destination

Monday, 18 May, 2005 0

A new travel Web site claims to provide more than the tools to arrive at a destination.

SoGoNow.com also provides “inspiration”, says its founder.  “A vacation is much more than the time spent at a destination,” said Will Seccombe, president of Revolution Communications.

He said a total travel experience includes three elements: planning and anticipation, the trip itself, and then the memories of it.

His site is unique in combining the power of these information sources into a 21st century version of a vacation slide show.

SoGoNow is updated daily by a community of travel aficionados who share their travel stories and offer recommendation, he said

Anyone can contribute, according to Mr Seccombe.
