New UK managing director for river cruise company
Luxury river cruise company, Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection, has appointed Kathryn Beadle in the newly-created role of managing director UK.
Beadle was previously MD of Hurtigruten, where she was responsible for the UK, Australia, Middle East and Asia markets.
Before that she was sales and marketing director at Virgin Holidays.
Starting in her new role on November 3, Beadle will launch Uniworld as a stand-alone brand in the UK for trade sales.
She will also be directly involved with Uniworld’s partnership with Titan Travel, who package and sell Uniworld cruises in the UK.
Titan’s focus will be on developing consumer sales for Uniworld cruises.
Beadle will report in to Uniworld’s Los Angeles based president and CEO Guy Young, who said: "Kathryn’s pedigree and reputation is well established in the UK and she is extremely well placed to lead our UK operation.
"Her strategic acumen, creativity, drive and in-depth knowledge of the industry will all serve to build Uniworld’s profile as the leading luxury river cruise operator in the UK and provide agents the support needed to successfully sell and market Uniworld to their best clients. We’re delighted to have her on our team."
Beadle is also on the executive committee of industry body CLIA.
