New website touted as online ‘shop window’ for cruise industry
A web portal designed as an independent cruise resource for consumers is due to go live next week.
The site – www.bestcruisedeal.co.uk – will contain destination reviews for more than 220 ports of call as well as background notes on cruise lines and ship reviews.
It can be used by cruise lines to attract prospective passengers, promote deals, late availability holidays and new itineraries.
The site is to open for business on October 1 with a special offer for cruise lines, operators and specialist retailers who want to reach interested customers.
A range of advertising and promotional packages are available, starting at £500 a month for a bronze package, rising to a gold package, which is being offering a special launch deal of six months for the price of five provided until November 1. The gold package enables an advertiser to feature up to 20 deals on the site at any one time.
The 12 best deals each week will be selected and sent to consumers who have registered for a Hot Cruise Deals email.
The portal has been set up by Paul Frost who most recently helped set up the cruise arm of Best At Travel and previously worked for Cruise Control.
“The independence and integrity of the site is key in attracting potential cruisers,†he said. “That makes www.bestcruisedeal.co.uk a great shop window for the cruise industry to showcase their very best offers, and cruise lines to promote their latest ship launches and cruise innovations.
“The site will lead qualified, interested customers directly to the cruise lines, operators and specialist retailers, and just a couple of bookings a month will cover the cost.
“We will continue to invest heavily in site development and search engine optimisation, as well as online and print advertising, an online viral marketing campaign, a PPC campaign and PR activity, ensuring that everyone knows to turn to www.bestcruisedeal.co.uk when considering a cruise holiday.â€
