Nine feared dead after US plane crash
Nine people are thought to have died after a business jet smashed into an apartment building in the US.
Authorities have confirmed at least two deaths and the jet’s owner Augusto Lewkowicz said there were two pilots and seven passengers onboard. There are not thought to be any survivors.
It came down in a residential area of Akron, Ohio at around 15:00 hours yesterday, two miles from where it was due to land at Akron Fulton International Airport.
The jet is believed to have clipped a telegraph wire before hitting a residential building where it burst into flames.
It then hit an embankment, causing a neighbouring house to catch fire. There were no reported injuries on the ground.
