Nine new Aloft hotels coming to Texas
Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ Aloft brand plans to significantly increase its footprint in Texas with the addition of nine new hotels in the next three years.
Aloft will grow its portfolio with two more hotels in Houston, two in Austin, three in the Dallas area and hotels at College Station and Shenandoah.
"Aloft is gaining considerable momentum across Texas, fueled by rising demand for high-quality lodging in a number of the state’s fastest growing cities," said Allison Reid, senior vice president of north america development at Starwood.
"The distinct design aesthetic and lively social atmosphere offered by Aloft is proving to be a hit with travelers."
Located minutes from the Texas A&M University campus, the 102-room Aloft College Station will be the first to open next month, followed by Houston, Austin and Dallas in 2016.
"Aloft is experiencing phenomenal growth in Texas, in addition to key markets across the globe, due to the tremendous appeal of the brand’s tech-forward mind-set, vibrant social scene," said Brian McGuinness, senior vice president, specialty select brands for Starwood.
Since launching in 2008, the Aloft brand has been noted for its loft-like rooms, innovative use of technology and live music programming showcasing local up-and-coming artists.
