No entry to Canada for unvaccinated visitors ‘for quite a while’
Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says unvaccinated visitors won’t be welcome ‘for quite a while.’ The PM made the admission in answer to a question of when international tourists – including Americans – will be allowed to travel freely to and within Canada.
This week Canada exempted quarantine for fully vaccinated returning citizens in the first sign it is easing some border restrictions. Non-essential foreign travelers still remain banned.
Trudeau said any further lifting of restrictions will be focused specifically on fully vaccinated arrivals and the government will announce plans in the coming weeks.
