No-frills shares slide
There were few major movements among travel and tourism shares yesterday as London’s equity markets failed to make headway. The FTSE 100 index dropped 9.1points to end the day at 4309, while the FTSE 250 gained 14.2 points to close at 6148.8. The two biggest movements of the day were both at no-frills carriers; easyjet dropped 4.5p to close at 275.75 and Ryanair fell 7.375p to end the day at 294.75p.
