‘No snow’ claims soar after slow start to ski season
‘No snow’ claims have soared this year representing nearly half of all winter sports claims, says insurer Alphatravelinsurance.co.uk.
It would not disclose how many customers had claimed but said it ran into thousands.
This season, it said 44% of winter sports claims were made for ‘no snow’ compared to just 7% last year.
Ski resorts across Europe suffered from poor snowfall and unusually warm temperatures at the beginning of the season.
Alphatravelinsurance.co.uk said ‘no snow’ was part of its standard winter sports policy.
