Northern Thailand air link re-established
CHANG MAI – SGA Airlines has recommenced its service linking the northern Thailand cities of Chang Mai and Chang Rai.
The air link is an alternative to the three-hour road journey on National Route 118.
SGA flies Cessna planes on the route, taking 35 minutes.
The service leaves Chiang Mai in the morning at 08.00 with a return flight in the evening at 17.40.
From Chiang Rai the service departs at 9.00 and returns from Chiang Mai at 16.40.
The flights are available on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
The price, including VAT, fuel surcharge, airport tax and insurance, is 1,690 baht one-way and 3,380 baht for the round trip.
Some 400 seats will be sold for a promotional 999 baht one way in the travel period from April 1 until May 31, 2008.
SGA Airlines also offers two daily flights from Chiang Mai to Pai and one flight from Chiang Mai to Mae Hong Son on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays,
