Norwegian Air launching Las Vegas-London flights

Saturday, 24 May, 2016 0
Low cost carrier Norwegian Air Shuttle will launch a new route from London Gatwick to Las Vegas in October.

This will become Norwegian’s fourth service to Vegas after Copenhagen, Stockholm and an upcoming Oslo weekly flight.

The London service will initially run twice a week from October 31.

Reservations are now live with fares starting at $259 one way, the airline said.

The carrier’s Irish based unit, Norwegian Air International is still awaiting clearance to operate separate transatlantic flights.

Although it has been given tentative approval by the transportation department, labor unions and both Democratic presidential front runners have urged the Obama Administration to deny an air permit over NAI’s proposal use of low cost outsourced labor.

Pilot unions say this will ultimately drive down wages and cost American jobs.
