Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings tweaks Asia leadership team
Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings announced a slew of executive changes in Asia as a new CEO prepares to take over at its core brand in Miami.
Harry Sommer was recently announced as president and chief executive officer at NCL, which has led to organisational enhancements in the Asia Pacific region.
Steve Odell will lead the upper-premium and luxury brands as SVP and managing director of Oceania and Regent Seven Seas.
Odell has over 20 years of experience in luxury brands across Asia and helped establish the luxury cruise business in Asia back in 2001.
He was a founding board member of the Asia Cruise Association.
"We are investing more in the local market than ever before. As such, putting in place now the appropriate levels of commercial leadership required to support and nurture this growth is imperative," said Odell.
Ben Angell will head up the Norwegian Cruise Line brand in the region as VP and managing director of NCL APAC.
He will oversee all sales, marketing and passenger services functions for NCL across the region.
"The growth NCL has experienced over the past four years has been phenomenal, with so much more potential to be realised following the launch of Norwegian Encore this November," Angell said.
