Norwegian lifts mask mandate
Norwegian has dropped the requirement to wear face masks on its flights.
The rule change took effect on Monday April 4.
It covers all flights across the carrier’s current network.
“As countries reduce or completely remove travel restrictions, thanks to extensive vaccination programmes, passengers will now be able to choose if they wish to wear a face mask or not,” the airline said.
It urges passengers ‘to check the local requirements and guidance at their destination before travelling, including stops and connecting flights in Europe.’
Norwegian’s network includes routes departing London Gatwick, Manchester and Edinburgh.
Face masks had been mandatory since June 2020.
