Norwegian offering free booze on short cruises
Norwegian Cruise Line is looking to tempt more customers on its short cruise programs with free unlimited booze.
From January 2016 guests onboard Norwegian Sky’s three- and four-day sailings to the Bahamas from Miami will get unlimited beer, wine and premium spirits included in the price.
The three- and four-day market is important for us," said COO Andy Stuart, speaking at CLIA’s cruise3sixty conference in Fort Lauderdale.
"We’re excited to offer free dining, free entertainment and now free premium drinks, beer, wine and sodas starting in January 2016."
"We absolutely believe we can drive more demand earlier by differentiating and will need to discount much less. The goal is to sell early and fill ships sooner, and don’t discount close in," Stuart added.
Stuart said the cruise fare will increase slightly due to the added inclusion.
This follows Norwegian’s announcement earlier this month that several Asian restaurants fleet wide were scrapping cover charges.
