Norwegian Spirit getting USD100 million refurbishment
Norwegian Spirit is getting a completely new look and feel with a huge $100 million makeover.
It will go into dry dock in Marseilles in early 2020 for a 40-day refurbishment as part of the Norwegian Edge program.
It will have 14 new venues, more staterooms added and an expanded Mandara Spa.
A new Spice H2O adults-only retreat is coming with a lounge featuring two new hot tubs and bar, while the Mandara Spa will double in size to nearly 7,000 square feet.
Norwegian is introducing Onda by Scarpetta to the Norwegian Spirit, only the second restaurant by Scarpetta in the fleet after Norwegian Encore which debuts next month.
"As we continue to introduce new innovative ships to our fleet, we are committed to ensuring that the experiences our guests enjoy are available on even our most storied ships," said Andy Stuart, NCL president and chief executive.
Norwegian Spirit will emerge from its revitalization to sail itineraries across three contnents with 10 new ports of call including Bali, Jakarta and Surabaya in Indonesia, and Beppu, Kumamoto, Nagoya and Tokyo, Japan.
