Norwegian’s Heritage Foundation links to sustainable tourism
The Nordic World Heritage Foundation has launched a new series of training seminars on Cultural Heritage and Sustainable Tourism.
The 3-Day seminar series will focus on how cultural heritage can be assimilated within the framework of sustainable tourism. The seminars will use up-to-date case material and best practices from all corners of the globe to highlight practical solutions, which ensure sustainability and maximum benefit for all interest groups.
The course organisers believe the seminar series is of immediate use to all those directly involved in the tourism and heritage sectors at every level, or those many millions influenced or affected by the tourism industry, both in the developed and developing world.
The course is an initiative of the UNESCO Nordic World Heritage Foundation (NWHF), in co-operation with Prof Peter Burns, University of Brighton’s School of Service Management. It grew out of an on-going project between NWHF and Virtual Learning Partners to develop an interactive, web-based e-learning product.
All persons attending the course will receive an Official Certificate of Completion, signed and stamped by the UNESCO Nordic World Heritage Foundation and the University of Brighton.
