Now Dreamliner waits on the weather
SEATTLE – It’s been a long wait but Boeing much anticipated, much delayed 787 Dreamliner is about to lift off.
The 787 first flight is officially set for 10:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time on Tuesday December 15 at Paine Field in Everett, Washington subject to weather conditions.
The time equates to Wednesday 0200 Perth and Singapore, 0400 Brisbane, 0500 Sydney, and 0700 Auckland
In general, Boeing’s policy for first flight weather conditions calls for good visibility, no standing water on the runway and gentle or no winds.
The flight is planned to last up to five and a-half hours.
The flight will be webcast live from www.boeing.com or www.newairplane.com
