NRMA goes shopping…again!
NRMA Motoring & Services has announced its expanded investment in the travel and holidays industry with the acquisition of Value Tours Australia.
The 100 per cent acquisition of Value Tours builds on NRMA’s growth in the wholesale travel sector, following recent purchases of Adventure World, Coral Seas Travel and Creative Cruising.
Value Tours has been operating for over 30 years and is the Australian leader in international ski and specialist in New Zealand holidays.
NRMA Group CEO, Tony Stuart, said the latest investment follows an intensive growth strategy by the NRMA, with the company investing almost $290 million in the travel, accommodation and car hire industries in just four years.
“Value Tours is an excellent fit in NRMA’s growing family of travel and holiday businesses,†Mr Stuart said.
“Along with NRMA’s recent acquisition of a Travelodge Hotel in Palmerston North and Thrifty New Zealand, the acquisition of Value Tours is an ideal fit.â€
Value Tours has an extensive retail network, selling travel packages to over 3,000 travel agencies across Australia.
