NTA promotes inbound travel from China at China Outbound Travel and Tourism Market
The National Tour Association will have a pavilion at the China Outbound Travel and Tourism Market, taking place April 22–24 in Beijing. COTTM is the only business-to-business show in China dedicated to the outbound sector of the Chinese travel industry.
NTA and eight of its members will be located in the pavilion, which will help link participants with more than 4,000 Chinese professionals attending the event. The pavilion is part of NTA’s ongoing efforts to assist its members in gaining outbound business from China to the United States. Additionally, NTA Government and Industry Relations Director Matt Grayson will be giving a educational session about NTA and its China Inbound Program.
“According to the Office of Travel and Tourism Industries, travel to the U.S. from China has increased 25 percent since November of 2008 and that figure is expected to grow,” said NTA Chairman and CEO Michele Michalewicz, CTP. “NTA has taken a leading role in facilitating Chinese inbound leisure travel to the United States, and attendance at COTTM will help NTA develop relationships between our members and Chinese-based companies.”
During the conference, the association will promote the use of NTA tour operators to Chinese buyers. To date, more than 170 tour companies are on the official list that NTA gives to the Chinese National Tourism Administration through its China Inbound Program.
The National Tour Association is the preferred association in the tourism industry for packaged travel professionals. NTA strives to provide value for its members by advancing the packaged travel industry through its advocacy efforts and progressive leadership. Connecting its members through business development, government relations, professional development and research, NTA has remained committed to serving its members with integrity and quality service since its founding in 1951. Today, the NTA membership represents 40 countries, and includes tour and travel packagers of all types.
