NZ airports pick up passenger service awards

Thursday, 27 Feb, 2008 0

An NZPA report says that two New Zealand airports have won awards for the quality of service they offer international passengers.

Auckland was third and Christchurch was fourth in the passenger service quality awards for airports which had a throughput of between five and 15 million passengers a year.

Central Japan Airport topped the category followed by Tel Aviv Airport in Israel.

South Korea’s Incheon was voted the overall top airport for passenger service quality followed by Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur International and Singapore’s Changi.

Hmm!  Interesting, neither Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane seem to have featured in the awards.

The survey was conducted by the industry body Airports Council International (ACI).
