Oasis Hong Kong starts marketing push

Saturday, 09 Aug, 2006 0

An online promotion is the first marketing push in the UK by low fares long haul carrier Oasis Hong Kong Airlines.

The new airline, which is to start flying from Gatwick to Hong Kong in October with fares starting at £75, is to give away more than 100 flights in a competition.

The “Be First To Fly” promotion will be open to people who register their details on www.befirsttofly.com and invite as many friends as possible to register before August 31.  For each referred friend who successfully registers, the participant will earn a point, with points adding up as more friends register.

The top prize is a pair of business class London-Hong Kong return tickets on the inaugural flight plus two nights’ accommodation in a five star hotel.  The next 50 people with the most points will win a pair of economy  return tickets.

The online viral promotion is the first phase of a consumer/trade marketing and PR campaign.
