Oldest still up to date
Two of the oldest inns in America have new guest amenities that are on the cutting edge of what’s hot in the hospitality business. The St. Francis Inn, dating back to 1791, and the Casa de Solana, which goes back to 1805, now offer high sped wireless internet connections and a new transportation service not often found at B&B’s. The later is on-call transportation in the inn’s black Lincoln sedan. The car takes guests to local restaurants and night spots. The service is complimentary. The two inns, fittingly, are located in St. Augustine, often known as America’s oldest city. –Report by David Wilkening–
