Oman Air adds Europe, Asia services
MUSCAT – National carrier Oman Air will fly to four more destinations in Europe and Asia in 2009.
CEO Peter Hill said, “August marks the commencement of our wide body fleet acquisition plan when we take delivery of the first of seven new Airbus A330 aircraft.
“We will operate non stop flights from our base in Muscat to Frankfurt and Paris in the west and eastbound to Colombo and Male.â€
This year Oman Air will take delivery of two Airbus A330-200 aircraft in a two-class Business and Economy layout, and two Airbus A330-300 aircraft featuring First, Business and Economy classes.
Oman Air will launch flights to Frankfurt on September 17, initially with six services per week, while Paris will come online on October 11 with four flights per week.
Sri Lanka and The Maldives services will start on October 12 with four weekly services offering connections to Paris, Frankfurt and the carrier’s daily London Heathrow flights.
