On Course for a Good Cause
Cruise Express, has decided to donate $5 to under-privileged children in Africa for every booking made with the Australian cruising-specialist travel agency.
The move will continue indefinitely and ensure the wellbeing and long-term education of four children Cruise Express is sponsoring in Zimbabwe.
Agency director Hardy Schneider said the newly-established Cruise Express Children’s Fund was inspired by the generous support of guests on the agency’s own escorted cruise tours in Europe and Asia this year.
“When our guests heard we were working to improve the lives of four beautiful children in Africa, they were so anxious to help,” Mr Schneider said. “We were so moved by their amazing donations that the team at Cruise Express decided to up the ante ourselves and donate $5 to the cause every time someone makes a booking with us.
“Cruising is booming right now so we are very busy which means our African children have a rosy future to look forward to.”
Mr Schneider also recently returned from South Africa where he joined volunteers from the Qantas Cabin Crew Team to provide a much-needed makeover for the Nkosi Haven in Johannesburg, which cares for women with AIDS and their children.
“Cruising to exotic locations around the world is a real luxury and I’m so glad that we at Cruise Express and our generous and loyal customers are able to make a real difference to the lives of needy children abroad,” Mr Schneider said.
Cruise Express is an award-winning travel agency specialising in cruise travel and escorted group packages.
