Online agency poised to hand over thousands to Children In Need

TravelRepublic.co.uk’s Children In Need/Facebook challenge has just today left to run and could see the online agency hand over £25,000 to the charity.

Less than a month ago, the agency pledged to write a cheque for the amount if it managed to get 100,000 likes on its Facebook page.

So far it has reached 40,000, meaning it will give £10,000, but it believes it can reach the magic number by midnight tonight.

Managing director Paul Furner said: “We are delighted that people are getting behind this cause, and we’re really seeing the campaign gather momentum. It is being posted all over Facebook and the clicks are coming through thick and fast now.”

“Today, we hit 40,000 ‘likes’ and were delighted to write a cheque for £10,000 to the BBC Children In Need appeal. We have set a series of additional targets and are pretty confident that we will make it to 100,000 ‘likes’ and a donation of £25,000 in total.

“We are thrilled that we have already made a significant contribution to this brilliant cause. However, we really want to write that cheque for £25,000. We have until midnight on Friday.”
