Online brochures cut Leger’s costs
Leger Holidays claims to have achieved “significant cost savings” by putting brochures online.
Working with www.onlinetravelbrochures.com, the coach tour operator’s European Experiences and Disneyland Paris brochures have gone on the internet, reducing the number of hard copy brochures being distributed.
Web development manager Michael Rhodes said: “The fact is there for all to see – online viewable brochures are now more popular than traditional printed material for internet customers. This means significant cost savings in production and distribution which ultimately benefits the company.
“We are the only UK travel website that is compliant with the W3C Organisation’s ‘AAA’ standard which is based on the site’s accessibility and usability, regardless of internet ability. OTB’s technology fits into our online vision and befits the same high standards we strive to deliver.”
Paul Green, managing director of www.onlinetravelbrochures.com, said: “The figures for Leger Holidays, which are mirrored across all brochures featured on the OTB system, shows that there is a burgeoning acceptance of online brochure technology.
“We will be monitoring the figures closely over the next six months and as the technology becomes more accepted I believe we will see the difference grow still further. The accessibility and potential price savings for every tour operator cannot be ignored.”
