Online start-up targets customer reviews
A new online accommodation company is tapping into the growing trend for customer recommendations as it launched a website offering 15,000 hotels.
Diy Travel wants to encourage users to interact with the site and fellow travellers by offering tips and reviews.
It will list best deals and the most recommended properties through its HotelRank system.
The launch comes as increasing numbers of online companies feature customer reviews on their sites.
Managing director Ben Jackson said: “UK travellers are embracing the do it yourself phenomena in ever greater numbers and indicators suggest this trend will only increase. Consumer reviews are an essential tool when booking travel yourself as they are far more revealing than official ratings systems.”
