ONYX Hospitality excelerates Asia-Pacific expansion

ONYX Hospitality Group has joined hands with Singapore Hospitality Holdings to form a joint venture to accelerate the growth of the ONYX portfolio in Asia-Pacific and the Middle East.
 
The JV plans to expand the OZO and Shama brands with an additional 46 hotels by 2024.
 
The first phase will include OZO hotels in Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya and the Maldives.
 
ONYX’s current portfolio consists of 24 OZO and Shama properties open and under development, and it also operates the Saffron and Amari brands.
 
"This is a significant development for ONYX which will help us expand our reach in the select service and extended stay segments regionally. OZO and Shama both perform well and continue to exceed consumer expectations," Peter Henley, President and CEO, ONYX Hospitality Group.
