ONYX Hospitality Group reports strong growth from UK
ONYX Hospitality Group has reported strong performance from the UK and Ireland market during 2025.
Compared to 2024, the group recorded a 13% year on year increase in room nights and a 16% increase in revenue.
There has been a strong start to the year and supports an optimistic outlook for 2026, with strong demand for Southeast Asia, especially Thailand.
This year ONYX Hospitality Group celebrates its 60th anniversary.
Amari, one of the flagship brands, continued to perform strongly in the UK and Ireland market.
OZO, the upper-midscale brand, appeals to modern travellers with its smart design.
Shama offers serviced apartments for guests seeking space and flexibility.
At the luxury end of the portfolio, Oriental Residence Bangkok is a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World and was awarded a prestigious MICHELIN Key for two consecutive years in 2024 and 2025.
The UK’s appetite for travel to Thailand continues to grow, and ONYX operates in iconic destinations including Bangkok, Koh Samui, Pattaya, Phuket, and Krabi, alongside newer additions such as Amari Bangsaen, which opened in 2025.
While Thailand remains a focus, ONYX Hospitality Group is also seeing growing interest from UK and Irish travellers in new destinations.
The group has a presence in Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and Laos.

In Malaysia, OZO Medini is currently in soft-opening phase, with a full opening expected in June 2026.
