Operator gives resort staff life-saving skills
Winters sports specialist Zenith Holidays claims to be the first UK tour operator to have all its resort staff taught emergency life support by the London Ambulance Service.
Every member of the team has completed the Heartstart Course, which teaches members of the public how to help keep someone alive until professional help arrives.
Zenith Holidays said its resort staff are now trained in what to do in the event of a life-threatening emergency involving adults, children and infants. Their training covered included emergency life support, cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, defibrillation familiarisation, bleeding and choking.
Zenith Holidays’ co-founder Katie Waddington said: "Skiing and snowboarding is an adrenalin sport, and with that comes inherent risks. Providing this course to all our resort staff – from drivers and chefs to chalet hosts and resort managers – gives us another way of delivering excellent customer service experiences, even in first aid and emergency life support."
