TUI, First Choice, Thomas Cook, My Travel, Cosmos, and RCI have joined the campaign to help find missing Madeleine McCann.
The Federation of Tour Operators is sending out a News of the World poster calling for information for use in hotels across Portugal and Southern Spain.
The four year old went missing while her family stayed in a Mark Warner complex in Praia da Luz on the Algarve of the Portugal more than 10 days ago.
As many as 200,000 UK and overseas holidaymakers stay in the hotels used by FTO tour operators in any week, adding to the numbers who can report any news about the missing girl.
FTO director general Andy Cooper said: “Our members, staff and customers have all been very moved by what happened and we are keen to help all we can.”
Meanwhile Travelcare is putting posters into thousands of ticket wallets to help with the search.
Customers receiving tickets from Travelcare will be given a picture of the youngster, along with details of who to contact should they have any information.
The publicity material has been provided by the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre, in conjunction with the Portuguese police.
Paul Kendrick from Travelcare said: “The more publicity and constant reminders about Madeleine can only help in the search.
“By targeting holidaymakers in this way, we are helping spread the message worldwide, as well as hammering home the message for families remain vigilant, while enjoying their break away.”
In the most recent development, police in Portugal searching for Madeleine have questioned three people and searched a villa close to where she was last seen.
Last week the focus had shifted to an international child abduction inquiry, with fears that she might have been taken out of Portugal.
