Operators cut January Alps prices
Skiers can take advantage of last-minute booking offers to enjoy favourable weather conditions in the Alps in the New Year.
Temperatures were set to drop last night (Tuesday) with snow forecast for the western Alps on New Year’s Eve, with snowier weather moving in for the first week of January, according to snow-forecast.com.
The site says: "The forecasts are constantly changing but the signs are looking very positive for some decent falls of snow to start the New Year."
Ski Total has seven nights at the Chalet Hotel Breithorn, in Champoluc, Italy, for £399 per person, down from £789 per person, departing Gatwick on January 16. The package includes breakfast, afternoon tea, five-course evening meal and wine.
Esprit Ski is offering up to £810 off a family break in Courcheval 1850, renowned for being one of the most stylish places in the Alps. Seven nights at the Chalet Hotel Crystal 2000 costs £325 per person.
The price is based on a family of four (two adults and two children under 12) at £1,299 (was £2,109) travelling on January 17 from Southampton, including babysitting, and seven nights’ accommodation with meals.
Ski Solutions has Italy short breaks for £475 per person – a saving of £80 – at Courmayeur, for bookings made by December 31, staying for four nights at the Hotel Centrale.
