Operators urged to hit the campaign trail

Sunday, 27 Sep, 2010 0

Travel companies have just two days left to persuade clients to give them their vote in the British Travel Awards.

This year, for the first time, small tour operators are able to take on the big guns thanks to a change in the voting process which means that companies that specialise in one destination no longer have to compete with their mainstream rivals.

BTA’S chief executive Lorraine Barnes Burton said: "Shortlisted companies must get those emails out and get their customers voting for them!

“Winning an award really does carry clout and the winner’s logo is now widely recognised by the consumer."

Voting closes on Thursday (September 30) and the winners will be announced at the awards gala evening on November 4 in London.

Tables and seats at the British Travel Awards can be reserved at www.britishtravelawards.com.
