Africa has been introduced by Orient Lines in a 2006-07 Worldwide Cruise Holidays brochure.

The single ship line has already announced the addition of 25 new European ports for next year.

Special fares and upgrades are available on the ship Marco Polo for bookings made before February 28.

Prices start at £599 per person for a seven-night Mediterranean Highlights cruise. African safaris in Kenya can be combined with a cruise from Mombasa to Cape Town while a 27-night Africa & South America cruise starts at £2,499 taking in Cape Town before Marco Polo cruises to South America.

The line’s UK general manager Francis Riley said: “Cruises on board Marco Polo are about the destinations, whether it is the Mediterranean, Iceland or further a field.

“With these itineraries we have responded to the demand for exploration and adventure. An Orient Lines cruise continues to reflect the market desire for life-enriching holidays at affordable prices with the ambience and the service she is renowned for.”
