Orient Lines unveils East Meets Africa adventure

As Marco Polo returns to Africa, Orient Lines has included a new African adventure to its 2006 itineraries.  Book the East Meets Africa 15 night fly-cruise with Orient Lines and travel from Athens to Kenya from only £999 per person.

Guests begin their trip in Athens before travelling down the Suez Canal to the historic town of Aqaba in Jordon, where they can wander around the mosques, towers and buildings of this seventh century settlement.

Back on board ship, Marco Polo travels to Egypt where you can travel to Luxor, the ancient city of Thebes.   Frequently described as the “world’s greatest open air museum”, guests can visit the banks of the Nile before wandering around the temples, tombs and monuments of Kanak, Luxor and the West Bank Necropolis.

Marco Polo then heads to the open sea.  Guests can experience the high quality of service on board ship whilst travelling through the tranquil waters of the Indian Ocean and the Red Sea.

There is also the opportunity to add on a 3 night post-cruise stay and safari at Tsavo and Amboseli National Park from £499 per person, and see big game in its natural habitat.

Departing from Athens (Greece) on the 3rd November 2006, Marco Polo calls at Port Said,  Suez Canal, Aquaba (Jordon) , Safaga (Egypt), Cruise the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, Cruise the Indian Ocean, cross the Equator and disembark in Mombasa.
