Overseas Flights from $168* with Two For One Offer
Norfolk Island may be the closest international destination for most Australians but the idyllic isle is now more accessible than ever thanks to a special two-for-one fare package offered by Norfolk Air.
Available for departures up to August 25, 2007, the offer allows one person to fly to Norfolk Island from Brisbane for $738 return including taxes, with the second person paying only taxes of $168.*
From Sydney and Newcastle, international flights direct to Norfolk are available for $803 return including taxes, with the second passenger paying applicable taxes of $183.*
Flights to Norfolk Island, an external territory of Australia around two hours from the east coast, leave from international terminals and passports are required.
Once an infamous convict colony and measuring just 8km by 5km, Norfolk Island is home to the descendants of the Bounty mutineers. Islanders speak their own language – one of the world’s rarest – but use Australian dollars.
The pine-clad island offers visitors of all ages an appealing mix of spectacular scenery, adventure activities, colourful culture, friendly locals, low-tax shopping, rich history and a relaxed, laidback ambience ideal for Australians keen to enjoy ‘time out’.
“Most people have heard of Norfolk Island so our new two-for-one offer is designed to get Australians out of their beanbags and into our Boeing 737 seats as they jet their way to a relaxing holiday on Norfolk,” said Norfolk Air Chief Executive Officer Ewan Wilson.
A partnership arrangement set up by the Norfolk Island Government last year with aircraft operator Ozjet, using Norfolk Island cabin crew, Norfolk Air flies eight times a week from Sydney, Brisbane or Newcastle to Norfolk island, 1500km north-east of Sydney.
