Page & Moy reports strong sales for next summer
Page & Moy Travel Group has claimed its sales revenue for next summer is way above the industry average at a lunch for key suppliers at World Travel Market.
The group, which now sells its three brands Travelsphere, Page & Moy and Just You through the travel trade, said sales revenue for summer 2011 is 25% ahead on a like-for-like basis.
This, said CEO William Burton, is way ahead of a UK packaged holiday market that is 4% ahead overall.
For winter 2011/12, he claimed the group is 27% ahead year-on-year.
Burton said a key driver was the re-launched Page & Moy brand, which had under-performed the market in recent years.
He said it is now trading cumulatively 34% up for summer 2011 % up year on year.
Travelsphere, described as its “value and convenience brand”, was launched through the retail travel trade for the first time this autumn and is cumulatively 23% ahead for summer 2011.
Just You, which offers tours for individual travellers, is up 14% for summer 2011, but with a trend to later booking in the singles sector, Burton expects it to grow by more than this in 2011.
The group, which was re-financed in November 2008, has ambitious growth plans, and aims to double its turnover and triple its profitability over the next five years.
