Paloma Faith on the lookout for ‘good travel agent’

Twitter users have responded to pop star Paloma Faith’s call out for a travel agent after she declared she would be holidaying in the UK this summer.

The British singer – who is pregnant with her second child – took to Twitter on Sunday night saying ‘I guess we are all holidaying in the UK this year?’ before asking for suggestions for ‘good travel agents for family holidays in the UK’.

Responses have come from travel agents and destinations all vying for Faith’s business.

The Scottish seaside villages of Findhorn and St Andrews have been suggested, along with Swansea, The Gower Peninsula and Tenby in Wales. Northumberland’s Berwick-upon-Tweed, Polzeath in Cornwall, Woolacombe in Devon, Camber Sands in East Sussex, Dorset and Blackpool have also all been put forward.

Travel agents including Travel Counsellors, Sunstreet Travel, Delacy Travel, Mid Counties Personal Travel Advisors, Tots to Travel, Olivers Travels, Hays Travel, Hoseasons, Saga.co.uk and Midas Travel in London have all either been recommended or come forward to advertise their services.

Some Twitter users have seen a lighter side to Paloma’s request and responded with offers of a house swap in Leeds or Sheffield, or suggesting even ‘Barnet is lovely this time of year’.

Twitter user Mark Ley said: "Hit me up Paloma love… got a lovely little 3 bed caravan in Tenby, South Wales…you’d love it! Will keep your stay on the DL but once you’ve gone I’ll obviously shout about it…get the bookings in…it’s a win win! Drop me a DM!"

Another Twtter user, Sarah-Louise, responded: "Can we do house swap holidays? I’ll volunteer to swap with you and you can come to Sheffield."
